Manchester City prepare for a huge clash this weekend in the Women's Super League, with a fixture against second-place Chelsea arriving.
Manchester City have had a strong week, beating Hammarby 2-0 despite many injury issues and have made it nine/nine points in three Champions League matchdays, topping their group with Barcelona in second with six points due to City's win over them at the start of the campaign.
Now, their focus shifts to the WSL and they will meet Chelsea, meaning it will be a battle for the top spot this weekend, with Man Ciy currently on first with 19 points and Chelsea on second with 18 points so far.
If the Cityzens surpass Chelsea with a victory, they will go four ahead of the Blues; which would be quite the lead for Man City. Whereas if Chelsea are succesfull, they will go to the top of the table and have a two-point gap between them and the Sky Blues.
A huge test for both of these clubs, who are well and truly in the race for this season's WSL title. A victory would be highly beneficial for whoever is able to claim three points, obviously, if any of the two can do so instead of settling for a draw.
Chelsea have played one less game than Man City (City seven, Chelsea six), so getting three points from their encounters with Chelsea will be incredibly vital for the Cityzens in their attempt to steal away the trophy from the Blues this time around.

Gareth Taylor press conference ahead of fixture
"I think there are going to be many important games after this. I think for us we want to stay consistent, I think that's really important. The league table at the moment looks a little lopsided because they have a game left to play and of course, we want to make sure that we can give the best versions of ourselves in order to get the best result."
"I think that trying to win the game for us is the objective and it never changes. And we have a real good opportunity to do that, particularly with some of the performances that we have seen already this season and that for us is going to be our main goal in this game, to go win."
"Of course, confdience is high but we know that everything we've done this season has had to be earned and we are really determined to try and earn as much as we can."
