The UEFA Champions League matchday eight took place, and all the official standings have been determined.
The Champions League’s eighth matchday decided the placements for every side.
The league phase has displayed all its fixtures, where the top eight was the aimed-for achievement, as it means you automatically qualify for the next round. Ninth to 24th means a playoff will be necessary. The numbers besides this are elimination.
Going into these games, among the eight were Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle, Real Madrid, and Tottenham, with Arsenal and Bayern Munich already qualifying. Manchester City, Inter Milan, Sporting, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid had the chance to take third to eighth.
All the matches kicked off in unison across the evening, and with such big scenarios potentially able to be claimed, this made the meetings crucial.
This stage of the contest has now concluded, and the next phase will consist of clubs looking to book themselves alongside the already progressed clubs.
