Manchester City are preparing for their next Premier League match, where they take on Arsenal in the bid for three points.
Manchester City will next take on Arsenal in the Premier League, where they’ll be aiming to claim the vital win.
After a big week for the Sky Blues, which saw them defeat their rivals in a 3-0 win in the Manchester derby and then, begin their Champions League off with a 2-0 victory against Napoli, they now attempt to over come another tough opponent.
They’ll now look to back these up with a win over Arsenal, who also have had a good week themselves after a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League and then a 2-0 win against Athletic Club in the Champions League.
This is a fixture that is highly anticipated, with two of the biggest clubs in the Premier League, and also contenders for the Premier League title coming face to face.
Going into this, Manchester City have six points to their name and sit on eighth, while the Gunners have nine points and are second on the board.
The game is set to take place on Sunday, the 21st at 16:30 (UK).
With it being so early in the season, every win could be the deciding element, even if others have greater points. And for Manchester City, they’ll be hoping that is the case as they try to close the gap on their rivals.
Pep Guardiola ahead of their next fixture
“Of course, we arrive the week against Napoli, Manchester United and now Arsenal, I would say it’s not an easy week, but in the Premier League, always it's like that.”
“What’s important is the feeling, the vibe of the team, the body language, especially, I am focused on that.
“Win or lose, we always try. But when you see the team is in good vibe, that’s what you have to do. Seeing the team growing up, that is my only concern right now, making a step ahead.”
