Manchester City are slowly returning to good form after winning their last three fixtures and will be aiming to make it four/four as they take on Brentford in the Premier League.
After a run of many disappointing results, the Cityzens got themselves some confidence after beating Leicester City 2-0 and then followed that up with a 4-1 result against West ham.
Over the weekend, it was FA Cup duties for Manchester City, who breezed 8-0 past Salford City to book their spot in the fourth round, where they'll either meet Derby County or Leyton Orient.
Now, the focus turns back to the Premier League, where they will take on Brentford on Tuesday, the 14th of January which comes as the PL's matchweek 21.
In the Premier League, Man City are currently in sixth place with 34 points to their name. Their biggest current aim will be to continue winning matches and collecting vital points which can take them into the top four, which is something they've really struggled with so far this season.
Meanwhile, City's opponents are 11th in the League with 27 points after winning eight, losing nine and drawing three out of their 20 fixtures,
The last time the two met, it was back in September, and it was Manchester City who had to come from behind to win the match after conceding in the very first minute. It was an Erling Haaland brace that secured the win for the Sky Blues.
Manchester City have five more matches to complete in January; while three of them come in the Premier League, the other two come as the last two matchdays in the UEFA Champions League.
They will return to European football next week when they take on French giants Paris Saint-Germain, which will be a crucial fixture for both clubs as they find themselves in dangerous spots on the table.
Pep Guardiola ahead of Brentford clash
"Of course, we won three games. Before, it was impossible to win one, and now we've won three. That helps us."
"But the reality is we won against a team from League Two. For many reasons, we should win."
"We did it quite well, but we still have to wait to see if we are who we are. The mood is better. We have an enormously difficult match; they are a fantastic, fantastic team."
