Manchester City prepare to meet Crystal Palace in their latest Premier League fixture, with only seven matches remaining, the victories must be achieved by the Sky Blues.

Manchester City take on fellow FA Cup semi-finalist Crystal Palace this Premier League weekend, in a crucial fixture for their hope of claiming a Champions League spot.

In a positive development for Man City, the Premier League will now see not four, but five clubs qualify for the next season's UEFA Champions League after Arsenal's 3-0 win over Real Madrid a few days ago.

No longer aiming for just the top four now might be a slight relief for the Cityzens, who have been struggling with that task. However, City are nowhere near comfortable in securing the top five, as they are currently in sixth place with Chelsea and Newcastle one point ahead of them and Aston Villa one point behind.

Manchester City must end these upcoming matches with the vital three points if they are to even finish fifth place and return to Europe next season.

Elsewhere, their top five opponents will also be in action. Aston Villa meet Southampton, Chelsea take on Ipswich Town, Newcastle face Manchester United, Nottingham Forest play Everton, while Brighton and Hove Albion encounter Leicester City, and Fulham prepare for Bournemouth.

Pep Guardiola on the top five race

"Well we are better, it's better to have five teams instead of four. There are seven or eight contenders. In this situation but there are lots of contenders. It'll be until the last moment."

"Tomorrow (Saturday) we have a team in incredible top form. Always it's difficult with Palace."

"But we have to be optimistic to finish well this season."

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace starts at 12:30 (UK) on Saturday the 12th of April.
