Manchester City will play Tottenham Hotspur in their seventh Women's Super League fixture, which will require Man City to bring their best form and players to the pitch.

Manchester City go into their next WSL game as league leaders after attaining five wins, one draw, and no losses to date. The Cityzens have also gotten off to a great start in the UEFA Women's Champions League, winning both of their fixtures so far and currently topping their group.

For Tottenham, their start to the season hasn't been too ideal; while they have won two games and drawn one, they've always lost three big games against Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.

While the odds will be heavy in Man City's favour, we know that Spurs are capable of bringing a surprise to the Sky Blues; most notably in their last encounter, which came in last season's FA Cup and saw Tottenham beat City on penalties.

Man City will need to continue their unbeaten run to remain top of the table, especially with rivals Chelsea just one point below them on the table. The Cityzens will require a high standard performance and their vital players at their best.

But with some injuries looming, Gareth Taylor confirms whether or not these players will be able to participate on Friday evening.

"Yama (Ayaka Yamashita) and Mary (Fowler) are back. Laia (Aleixandri), we just need a bit longer to assess, but those guys are fine."

"One bit of positive news is Naomi Layzell is getting closer, we had a positive meeting on her situation, that's really positive because she's a good player for us and her ability to play in a number of positions is really important."

"I just spoke to Naomi earlier and she had a really positive conversation with the specialist yesterday. We're in a position to start her up again. Her return will be fairly imminent, which is really positive for us."

"I have spoken to Viv (Miedema). She was due down in London today to see a specialist to check everything's coming on fine and that we're still on target trying to get her back as soon as possible."

"She's happy, feels good and actually feels she could do more than where she's at which is a positive sign. Wel'' know a little bit more after today. For us it's about managing it from day to day, hopefully, we get decent feedback today from the specialist dealing with her and we can move to the next target."

Manchester City vs Tottenham is on Friday, the 8th of November at 19: 30 (UK).
