Manchester City are looking ahead to the summer transfer window, with new reports suggesting Dani Olmo could be pursued by the Premier League side.

Manchester City are preparing to make changes to their squad, especially with the upcoming departure of Kevin De Bruyne and the potential dismissal of Jack Grealish. There already have been a few names circling around with links to the club, such as Florian Wirtz and Morgan Gibbs-White.

However, nothing has officially progressed at this moment, and with Florian Wirtz, it has been suggested that the player prefers a move to Bayern Munich over Man City and Real Madrid.

Recently, reports from the Daily Mail, have said that Manchester City could be attempting a transfer for Barcelona and Spain player Dani Olmo.

In the article, it states that Christian Falk, a German football expert, has said: "We've heard Manchester City want Dani Olmo - it's supposed to be a hot topic. He's currently playing for Barcelona, but isn't a regualar. He's seen as a good replacement for Kevin de Bruyne - and his move is a bit easier to realise. We also heard that City learned during talks that Bayern are a bit further along with Wirtz. So, City are looking to Olmo. That would take THE payer off the table."

This shows that the Sky Blues could be highly interested in signing Spanish player Dani Olmo this summer, with the Florian Wirtz deal seeming to be unlikely to advance any further due to his preference for Bayern.

However, if this is what City are wanting to do, it will be rather tough as the player is still under contract with Barcelona.

But, due to his lack of game time and not being a starter, maybe the deal could be completed as it would benefit both sides.

The summer transfer window isn't far off from opening, meaning these rumours will start becoming clearer if they any progression or not in them.
