Manchester City have finally ended their seven-match winless streak by beating Nottingham Forest 3-0 on Wednesday evening in the Premier League.
After seven games without a victory for Manchester City, the woes to come to an end after a 3-0 win over Forest in a midweek Premier League fixture.
Bernardo Silva started things off in the eigth minute to give the cityzens a 1-0 lead. Then it was Kevin De Bruyne who gained his team a healthy 2-0 scoreline going into halftime. Jeremy Doku secured the final goal that cemented the win and the three points.
Due to this win, City go fourth place from fifth; two points away from Chelsea, who beat Southampton 5-1, and also two away from Arsenal, who were 2-0 winners over Manchester United.
There are now nine points between City and leaders Liverpool after the Reds failed to earn three points in a dramatic 3-3 draw with Newcastle United. Nine points is a significant gap, but the Sky Blues can take a positive knowing it's not an 11-point mountain anymore.
Manchester City have a very long way to go before making a turning point in their season, but finally getting a victory and a 3-0 one as well, is a good start for the Cityzens going forward.

"It's nice. It's not been a nice period for me, but you have to deal with it. It's nice to be out there to change the momentum hopefully. It's been a tough time. You have to accept the challenge, I think we did well today."
"We started really well. First 20 minutes we were in control. I had a chance with the header, I was trying to score but it was going next to the goal. It was good that Bernardo was there. I was really surprised because when I got the ball from Jeremy (Doku), I was in so much space. Just had to hit the target. Luckily I did that. I'm happy I could do 70 minutes, it's a big improvement from what I've done lately so I'm happy about it."
"To be honest, it's not the momet to look at that (title race with Liverpool). It's been a hard period. We have to accept the challenge. The Premier League is getting harder and harder. we know that everybody is becoming a tough team to play. Everybody is taking points off everybody."
"We have to improve as a team first, try to win games and we'll see in a couple of months where we are. Hopefully, we will have improved a bit and we get a bit closer. For the moment, it is not the time."
