After coming off a big win in Europe over Young Boys, Manchester City now head into the very anticipated Manchester derby on Sunday afternoon.

Currently sitting on second spot under Tottenham, Man City will aim to continue collecting three points in their search for another Premier League title. The English League’s table sees almost a new leader after every game, with City, Liverpool, Spurs, and Arsenal all placed in the top four with a chance of going to the top at this moment of time.

All City fans know exactly how important their meeting with United always is; it’s never just about the points but also the victory, knowing they got one over their rivals.

Pep Guardiola

The head manager gave his press conference earlier on, and here is what Pep had to say going into Sunday, ” It’s always special. It’s a special place, and it is special for our fans. It is a game not like the FA Cup final or the last games of the season that defines winning or not; still, we only have played nine fixtures, and there are 87 points to play for. We have to be focused.”

Pep then answered who he thinks will be in contention for the title, “It’s too early. All the teams are there, and the teams behind can be there. Things will happen; we have been behind before in February and March and still gone on to win.”

He then went on to talk about his team’s mentality going forward, saying, “I want to see how our mentality is on Sunday. We have won a lot. I want to see the right mentality to play for these points.”
