Last three games before Premier League returns
By Hidayah Ali
Manchester City are only a few days away from returning to Premier League action, as there are only three more games remaining for their players who are currently on international break.
Nathan Ake and Netherlands got themselves a very hard-earned win over Greece on Monday evening, while Rico Lewis’s England under-21s side were defeated 3-2 by Ukraine.
Here is your schedule for today and tomorrow early morning.
England vs Italy – Walker, Stones, Phillips, Foden, Grealish.
European Championships qualifier – 19:45.
Uruguay vs Brazil – Ederson.
World Cup qualifier – 01:00 AM.
Peru vs Argentina – Julian Alvarez.
World Cup qualifier – 03:00 AM.
A massive clash between England and Italy later today, and we’ll surely be seeing some of the City players included in the starting line-up; especially since some were kept on the bench during their friendly with Australia. England will qualify for the Euros if they beat or draw with Italy.
A reminder that two South American fixtures are tomorrow morning, but some may consider that very later tonight.
Our predictions:
England 2-1 Italy
Uruguay 0-1 Brazil
Peru 0-2 Argentina
The Manchester City squad players who have partaken with their nations will return back to the club and start preparations for their game against Brighton and Albion Hove, this coming weekend. And after two PL losses on the bounce, Pep Guardiola will be determined to get his team back to their winning ways.
