Manchester City’s women’s team returns to Women’s Super League action tomorrow afternoon in a fixture against Bristol City.

After getting an all-important victory over Everton midweek for the FA League Cup, their focus will now be placed on Sunday’s game.

Head manager Gareth Taylor has given updates on certain players, who weren’t present against Everton, ” We’ve recovered after Wednesday’s game against Everton. We obviously now recover in terms of players available with Lauren and Alex. They’ve come back. Leila will have to wait one more game. Demi is not quite ready but is getting closer. I know I keep saying that, but it’s a complicated knee injury. She’s really close to returning.”

With Demi almost ready to make a comeback, Lauren and Alex, who were sent off during last week’s game against Chelsea, have returned, but Leila will have to wait out one more game.

Taylor then expressed his opinions on the squad’s strength despite having names out, ” It’s good to get a couple of options back, but the fact we had three unavailable players for Everton due to suspension, but we could make nine changes show the strength of the group.”

Gareth Taylor then moved to discuss the recently returning Khadija Shaw, ” Bunny had an unfortunate issue when she came back from Jamaica. She’s such an influence, a player the team looks to in terms of setting off everything. It’s fantastic to have her back and nice for her to get off the mark so early on.”

Manchester City will meet Bristol City on Sunday, the 15th October, at 13:00 (UK).
