Manchester City return to Premier League action tomorrow afternoon against Nottingham Forest for the fifth game of the PL season.
Manchester City have won all of their Premier League games thus far, and are coming into this game after a 3-1 win in Europe just a few days ago.
Here is our predictions ahead of Saturday’s clash.
Manchester City line-up
4-2-3-1
Ederson
Walker, Ake, Dias, Gvardiol
Nunes, Rodri
Doku, Alvarez, Foden
Haaland
The formation has a very unlikely chance of changing; it’s been working for the team so far, so why would it?
The only changes from midweek would be Gvardiol replacing Gomez, and Jeremy Doku covering for Bernardo Silva, who was subjected to injury.
In Pep’s latest press conference, he has confirmed that Bernardo Silva will not feature in tomorrow’s fixture, but reassured that ” Just a little injury, just a week or two ( Silva’s absence ).”
The City manager has also told that Jack Grealish could play a few minutes against Nottingham, and Mateo Kovacic is almost ready to return.
On a less positive note, Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones are still no closer to returning, well, at least for Saturday, but it seems that there will still be a few games played without them.
The rest of the team that was chosen on Tuesday shouldn’t be any different; Walker, Dias, and Ake should retain their sports. While, Rodri and Julian Alvarez, who were City’s heroes against Red Star, should definitely take part.
And there’s very little doubt about the involvement of Erling Haaland.
Prediction
Man City 4-1 Nottingham Forest
For me, I can only see City taking all three points here and keeping their lead at the top of the League table.
Nottingham have had a decent start to their season; Sitting on 8th place, after beating Sheffield United and Chelsea, drawing with Burnley, but losing to Man United and Arsenal
It might be a hard-working game for the Citizens, but it shouldn’t be anything they can’t overcome.
