Manchester City have drawn Bristol City (away) in the FA Cup 5th round. The blues progressed after knocking out Arsenal in a 1-0 win at the Etihad last week.

In an underwhelming, yet solid performance from City against City B side, Arsenal, where Nathan Ake showed the BENCH why he deserves to keep his spot in the starting XI.

Contributing to a rare clean sheet, and securing the win with a simply wonderful goal and subsequently, winning MotM.

Whilst the blues have knocked out league leaders and have had tougher draws this season with Chelsea twice, Liverpool and Arsenal all beaten, there are no guarantees and City will have to take their A game to Bristol City.

The championship side sit in 17th place on 33 points, with 8 wins, 9 draws and 11 losses. Whereas Manchester City continue their battle to retain their Premier League Champions crown, 2nd place in the PL.

The game will be held midweek during the week of 27th February, an expensive month for those match going fans.

A coincidence? But Manchester City Women’s team will also face Bristol City in the next round of the FA Cup.

Should City progress in the FA Cup, it would be a brilliant opportunity to secure some silverware amid a season of transition and dressing room drama.

Could we see a turn in Manchester City’s performances now that the “toxic” environment allegedly caused by Cancelo has been addressed?

Blues will certainly be hoping so. For now, we focus on the next game – Spurs away.

Shock loan move for Joao Cancelo.
