Manchester City head to Elland Road tonight to face Leeds in their first Premier League fixture since the Winter World Cup. If you’re not going to Leeds, you can catch it on Amazon Prime.

City currently sit in third place after Newcastle’s impressive performance on Boxing Day, with Arenal going 8 points clear as a result of their win against West Ham.

It’s still early days and plenty of games to go to pick up points. However, this season is looking more competitive than it has for a long time. Can we go on one of our special winning streaks?

The blues came together midweek to face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup with cameos from youngsters after some of our stars missed out due to later returns from the World Cup. Our very own World Cup winner, Alvarez, is the only one yet to return.

The City boys came out on top in an exciting return 3-2 winning return to club football at the Etihad, knocking out Liverpool. Excellent, as we progress through to the next stage of the most prestigious trophy in football, we also can go through the rest of the season knowing that Liverpool are not winning the quadruple.

Despite a joint email from both clubs reaching both City and Liverpool fans before the game, the crowd got rowdy. However, here, we will let the football speak for itself.

De Bruyne looked in excellent shape as he returned “home” to the blues, and standing out as by far, the best player on the pitch. He looked hungry, as he equalled his assist tally for the whole of last season.

His partnership with Haaland looks to be an exciting one, and we will need all hands on deck if we aim to storm our way to the top of the table.

Manchester United are also sniffing out top 4 as they put 3 past Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night. With Liverpool and Chelsea both securing all three points in their games after poor starts to the season.

This one could be closer than ever! Buckle up, blues.
