Who has got the best chance for World Cup glory? (Part 2)
By James Fudge
Julian Alvarez, Lionel Messi and Argentina certainly put pressure on themselves when they entered the field against Saudi Arabia.
The shock came but a win against Mexico certainly put them back into the mix, lying now second in the group behind next opponents, Poland.
A win against Lewandowski and co will see them group winners and them avoid the likely winners of Group D.
An over reliance on their main man could be their downfall but could also be an inspiration for them to achieve something for themselves and the world’s best player.
Julian Alvarez has not scored but yet to start, with Lautaro Martinez starting ahead of him, but his performances has exceeded the Inter Milan striker in the minutes awarded him.
Should he start against Poland then we could see our forward writing his name in Argentine folklore by sending them through as group winners.
Chance of winning World Cup – Good – Now there is a clear route to top the group (the target), Argentine will want to avoid France and go that route. Win it for Messi mission is on.
