Today’s game doesn’t need an introduction with football fans mouthwatering at the prospect at two of the best in recent years battling it out once more.
Five of the last five champions have been either Liverpool or Manchester City with both sides dominating the English league in the recent years.
Anfield has proved a difficult stadium for City to come and dominate given the tight pitch and the quality of the opposition faced with home advantage meaning a lot in this fixture.
City has won only one Premier League game in Merseyside since 2015, while Liverpool have not won at the Etihad in that era to gain an advantage in the league.
So, can we see history repeat ourselves or will City repeat the 2020/21 victory that saw a new level of dominance between the two.
