Foden
He’s one of our own, and one of our most important players. He was rested midweek after an incredible derby day performance where he not only grabbed his first derby goal, but his first hatty – new contract incoming?
His rest, along with De Bruyne speaks volumes about his place in Pep’s plans and his standing in the squad. I have no doubt that we will see him return to the starting XI on Saturday.
Grealish
Jacky G has put on some outstanding displays of football over the last few weeks. If you appreciate good football, you will appreciate what he brings to the game. If you prefer FIFA, then you might be focused on G/A.
Putting on a MotM performance against Copenhagen, he is likely to keep his spot on the left. Having him there also allows Foden to move to the right, a position in which he is much more effective.
Haaland
Obviously. Our Nordic Meat Shield is guaranteed a start in such a game at this point and his goal scoring record at home so far is beyond impressive, it’s a bit of a joke – in the best way. Can he continue his home form?
