Manchester City has a squad packed full of talent, and since the introduction of football superstar, Erling Haaland, he’s had tongues wagging and rivals crying – dry your eyes mates.

Understandably, he’s taken the spotlight and continues to be talked about by basically everyone. His blossoming partnership with Kevin De Bruyne has seen the Belgian assist king equal his assist tally from the previous season only 8 games in.

Haaland has been breaking records since joining the blues; most recently achieving hat-tricks in 3 consecutive home games. Taking him to a total of 14 Premier League goals – he’ll be lucky to reach 15 across the season, wouldn’t want to disrespect the “establishment” with reality.

With the blues bagging 29 goals so far in 8 games, Haaland’s goals equal 48% of those. There’s a lot being said about the link-up between the Norwegian and the Belgian, and rightly so. They will no doubt go on to break records together.

However, there is one pairing that has been growing right under our noses, and hardly anyone is talking about it. It is a relationship to watch for the future, two young generational talents, that could elevate each other to new heights.

After some criticism in the opening games of the season, Foden was the player that had to adapt to playing with a big trustworthy striker the most, having played the majority of last season as a false 9, because our actual striker at the time was unable to make that position his own (no matter how much we love and respect him).

Nevertheless, with Foden’s football intelligence, it hasn’t taken him long to adapt at all. This has led to some great link-up play with Haaland.

They have so far combined for 6 goals in 4 games, and this is a partnership that will only continue to grow. Even more exciting, is these are two City fans who love the club as we do. They’re basically Jimmy Grimble and living all our childhood dreams.

All we need now is for Jacky G to continue getting in on the action, because after the derby, something that was clear is that our most dangerous front 3 is Grealish, Foden and Haaland.
