Mahrez

Pep has assured us that we will see some rotation coming up, and Mahrez has struggled to see game time so far this season. However, the Algerian is typically one of City’s best Champions League performers and we could see him start again.

Grealish

Calves out had a quiet international break after coming on in the second half against Italy with a shining cameo, though suspended for the second game against Germany. Also taken off early in the derby after another brilliant performance, so I expect him to start midweek.

Alvarez

Both Foden and Haaland saw plenty of minutes during the international break and may be rested for the upcoming Premier League fixture against Southampton. Fans have been desperate to see Alvarez start again after impressing with his incredible energy, link up play and eye for goal. Will he get a Champions League start this week?
