Ederson

Unlikely going to be rested and with no known injury concerns, the number-one will be starting in goal in hope of keeping a clean sheet.

John Stones

The centre-back impressed against Borussia Dortmund on the right and will likely come into the side given Cancelo’s influence on the left-hand side. Kyle Walker remains a major doubt so will make sense.

Ruben Dias

A surprising omission for a rest in midweek will come into the side to handle a possible debutant – Diego Costa.

Nathan Ake

The Dutch centre-back is going to be ahead of Manuel Akanji despite the Swiss star’s appearances in the Champions League. The Dias and Ake partnership looks like a good pairing due to their favoured sides.

Joao Cancelo

The full-back pulled off a superb assist for Haaland in midweek with a sublime cross with a ball with the outside of his right foot – a ball we have seen before from him. Favoured over Sergio Gomez given a possible tricky fixture.
