Ederson

The Brazilian is likely to keep his place in the Champions League but miss out on the Carabao Cup and the early stages of the FA Cup to Steffan Ortega. Formidable and breathes confidence into a makeshift back line.

Joao Cancelo

The Portuguese fullback is a natural right back so the injuries to Walker and Stones may force him to protect the right side.

Ruben Dias

The only senior centre back that is fully fit. Can only see him starting.

Nathan Ake

Came off the bench against Villa and will be favoured over Manuel Akanji due to the Swiss defender spending a minimal amount of time training. Not 100% himself though after returning from injury recently.

Sergio Gomez

Due to several injuries, Gomez will start as the left back making his full debut. Had enough time to settle into the squad and may cause problems for Sevilla’s right flank.
