Manchester City will travel to Seville for their first fixture in the 2022/23 Champions League, where they will be looking for a start to win that elusive trophy.
It was in Spain where it ended at the semi-final stage last year and they will be looking to go one/two stages better this year around.
They start as favourites for the competition and will be looking for a bang against arguably their toughest side in the group; Sevilla will likely battle it out with Borussia Dortmund for that second spot to advance to the knockout rounds.
City will also be looking to return to winning ways (in a dominant fashion) after they stuttered to a draw on Saturday at Villa Park.
It will be interesting to see who will start the fixture in the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium as Kyle Walker and John Stones were both omitted from the travelling squad.
The injury to Stones is unclear given his training outing this morning, and his omission reduces the options at right-back.
John Stones looked happy enough at the start of #mcfc training today but joins Kyle Walker on the list of players who miss the Sevilla match. Pep Guardiola expected to update in his press conference later. Kalvin Phillips and Manuel Akanji do make the squad
