Aston Villa vs. Manchester City: Predicted Line-up
By Laura Graves
Ederson
Ederson didn’t have much to do midweek, and I imagine there will be more of a goal threat from Villa. He keeps his spot.
Walker
Walker was back out on the right on Wednesday night, giving much needed balance at the back. Hopefully, the experiment is over, and he will be available on Saturday and out on the right.
Stones
Stones has been fantastic since his own goal for Crystal Palace, with two assists and a clean sheet, he is looking as sharp as ever.
Dias
Dias has been brilliant recently, commanding his back line that works more efficiently with Walker where he is supposed to be. Unsure on Ake’s return, though keeping the same partnership will hopefully lead to another clean sheet.
Akanji unlikely going to be ready to fill either of the centre back positions.
Cancelo
Cancelo was given a short rest on Wednesday after scoring his goal, Gomez came on in the second half. I expect Cancelo will start against an opposition that has proven tricky for us in the past.
