Rodri

Rodri starts. As we know, Phillips is back in training after experiencing some “niggles”, so his lack of fitness, and top performances from Rodri, the Spanish CDM keeps his place in the starting line-up.

Manchester United fans have ditched the Norwich scarves and have forgiven the Glazers since signing Casemiro this week, with some of them having the audacity to claim that he’s better than Rodri – THIS IS THE PREMIER LEAGUE!

De Bruyne

Even Pep isn’t barmy enough to bench the best midfielder on the planet, or is he? Nope. After looking fit in preseason and starting this season off with two assists and a goal, KDB starts.

Must Read. See how we rated the players from the Bournemouth win. light

The new system Pep has deployed so far this season give De Belgian the freedom to pick up space closer to the opposition box. I am excited to see the heights he’ll reach with Haaland roaming about.

Gundogan

Silky Ilkay has picked up from where he left off last season – being a title decider. The midfielder, “ghost of the back post”, false 9, £20m German, has this week been officially named the new City skipper.

With his ability to control the tempo of a game, his creativity, his link up play and his defensive intelligence, he starts for me. Ilkay, made the scousers cry!

However, Bernardo has been benched for two games in a row and with the rumours of a potential transfer quietening, he may well be due for his chance in the starting line-up. Perhaps he will take up spot on the right wing?
