Despite securing the services of the Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland and Argentinian striker Julian Alvarez, Manchester City chairman Khaldoon AI Mubarak says more players are coming in.

City are looking to assemble their squad for the next season with the main objective of winning the longed UEFA Champions League trophy, along with retaining the Premier League and adding the domestic cups once again.

Next season would be much better for City, having played the last season without the natural striker for the entire season after Sergio Aguero departed for Barcelona last summer.

The chairman commented, “I am delighted, I am absolutely delighted in the case of both Julian and Haaland that we were able to come in early, do our business early.”

In his annual end of season interview, the Emirati confirmed that City are certainly much better prepared and covered for many years to come with the signatures of two of the best young strikers in Europe and South America.

He also confirmed news that multiple new faces will be targeted during the transfer window to make them stronger in all competitions; comments that have already excited fans.

"“I can confirm that there will be more players coming in (to Manchester City). We are looking to strengthen the team in the areas that need strengthening. As you know every season some players leave, and we have to continuously refresh the team. Again, we always look at improving and strengthening and I think we’ve made two very important additions already. I anticipate that we will be doing a couple more.”"

City are looking to reinforce the midfield department with Fernandinho gone and are now linked with the Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips, at the left back they also looking at Brighton’s Marc Cucurella as preferred by Pep.

Despite remaining in background, Mr Al Mubarak seems to be getting a fanbase in Manchester with a number of tweets praising the chairman for his intentions ahead of next season.

Undoubtedly, Premier League opponents will be keeping one eye on the movement around Manchester to see how Guardiola carve out the best from two of the talented strikers and his other new players. With the affirmation words from the chairman that more players are coming in, City already are set to look deadly and title favourites with over two months to the start of the next season.
