2)MARCELO BROZOVIC

The 29-year-old is widely regarded as the best in his position for both Club and Country. Brozovic was an integral part of Inter Milan’s Serie A title triumph last year.

The Croatian midfielder is in his final six months of contract at the San Siro and has grabbed attention of a host of European Clubs. With a new agreement still quite distant from being finalised, Barcelona have emerged as the potential suitor for Brozovic.

Manchester City seem to have been monitoring the situation and could be in the race for the Croatian. The 29-year-old’s ability to excel playing in the deepest position in the middle, ball recovery and to start an attack make him an inch perfect replacement for Fernandinho.

Furthermore, given the experience Brozovic brings to the table it would do a world of good to the likes of young midfielders City posses in James McAtee amd Cole Palmer.

Pep Guardiola could opt for Brozovic, given that City are likely to go all-out in their pursuit of Erling Haaland. The entire operation to land the Norwegian striker could go up to €120 million.

With that said, Inter are said to be the favorites with a contract extension looking a likely course for the Croatian. However, with the negotiations still in the initial stages Manchester City would certainly fancy their chances in landing Brozovic.
