Midfielders(Manchester City)

Fernandinho(DM)-7/10

The veteran was provided with a full-fledged start in the midfield, with a task to shield the backline. The Brazilian may not be a solid replacement for Rodrigo but, however, he was firm in the heart of this City midfield. For the most part of the game, the 36-year-old was in good shape and did not look rusty in any aspect of his game.

Kevin De Bruyne(CM)-8/10

Assists flew in all from all directions for the Manchester City players. Their provider-De Bruyne. The Belgian took full responsibility for feeding superb crosses as he saw one of his neatly tucked passes beautifully headed back into the goal by John Stones. He was again the center of the attention for the Sky Blues as he troubled the Cottagers to the core, and was also hugely involved in this easy win at home. Mr. Assist to the rescue again!

Ilkay Gundogan(CM)-8/10

With a goal down, City were expected to peg back with an equaliser. The German midfielder took no time to settle the scores in the early minutes of the game. His goal simply opened the floodgates for the Cityzens. The former Dortmund man was a crucial member of Guardiola’s side and is now likely to again start in the next couple of games.
