Manchester linked highly-rated Juve forward placed on the market
Manchester City have been linked with Federico Chiesa in the past. The Euro 2020 breakout star for Italy has impressed many since he moved to Turin in the summer of 2020.
With that said, Todofichajes understands that Juventus have placed their talented young forward in Federico Chiesa on the market.
The source reports that the Old Lady has taken this move to counter their financial difficulties. The expectation at Turin is that Chiesa will attract a fee of at least €60 million. Todofichajes has also named Bayern Munich as one of the ‘interested parties’.
Raheem Sterling has been linked with a move away from the club in recent times and though, the Englishman has been tipped to sign an extension with the Cityzens in the coming days, his future is still unclear. While the former Liverpool man has been able to regain his place in the XI and more importantly, Pep Guardiola’s trust.
The 27-year-old also won the Premier League player of the month for December and has been able to score six times from the last nine appearances he has made for his side in the Premier League.
It was not long ago that Sterling was linked with a move to Spain with the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid said to be keen on signing him. The player himself, publicly admitted that he would be open to a move abroad in search of regular minutes on the pitch.
With City being linked in the past with Chiesa, the 24-year-old could be the perfect and like-to-like replacement for Sterling, if he does decide to leave. Moreover, with Ferran Torres securing his move to Barcelona, the Sky Blues are yet to sign the Spaniard’s replacement.
Chiesa is currently out injured (ACL) and is effectively ruled out for the rest of the season and he could become an attractive option in the coming summer window, especially if Juventus fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
