Manchester City are reportedly preparing a fresh move for Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane as Pep Guardiola grows desperate for a new striker, as per Fichajes.

Kane, 28, had a horrific start to this season scoring a solitary goal in the first nine matches under Nuno Espirito Santo. Tottenham’s decision to replace Nuno with former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte has certainly proved to be a spring in Kane’s fortunes with the Englishman finding the back of the net on three occasions in the last four Premier League matches.

His performances haven’t gone unnoticed with Manchester City reigniting their interest in signing the striker in the upcoming summer window. The source adds that Manchester City have once again made Harry Kane their priority for the first time since the previous summer’s transfer saga.

Kane was heavily tipped to join the Skyblues in the 2021 summer window with the English skipper keen on quitting Tottenham in search of silverware. The move eventually fell through in the dying moments of the transfer window with Kane willing to continue with the North Londoners for the ongoing season.

Pep Guardiola seems to be in pursuit of Erling Haaland’s alternatives with the Norwegian striker shortlisted by many elite clubs amid speculations that the Bundesliga striker desires a move to Spain.

Joao Felix has been contacted recently, but that option seems to be going nowhere with Atletico Madrid holding a firm stance over the Portuguese striker. The 51-year-old appears to have identified Harry Kane as a perfect alternative to Haaland with talks expected to be accelerated following the departure of Ferran Torres.

Having said that, Manchester City may be required to bid well above the €100 million to see the Englishman don the Manchester blues with Tottenham once again likely to demand a hefty sum for the services of their main man, the source concludes.
