Manchester City plotting a sensational move for Real Madrid Ace

Manchester City are reportedly pushing to sign a deal with highly-rated Real Madrid midfielder, Fede Valverde in the upcoming summer window. Pep Guardiola has been tracking his progress and is looking to raid on the Uruguayan’s current situation at the Santiago Bernabeu, as per Spanish outlet El Nacional.
The source further adds that the player is not satisfied with the amount of game time he is currently getting under Carlo Ancelotti and could seek a move. The report adds that City could take advantage of the situation, and are “considering the idea of making a firm offer at the end of this campaign, at the request of Pep Guardiola”.
Valverde, 23, hasn’t been able to get off the blocks this season for his liking and as a result, has fallen in the pecking order. He hasn’t been able to cope with the likes of star-studded Real Madrid midfield which has thus far been one of the best in Europe with the likes of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, and Casemiro. A solitary assist in 19 appearances this season for the Los Blancos is all that the Uruguayan has been able to manage and those numbers are simply not enough to get him a place in Ancelotti’s XI.
On the flip side, Manchester City are having problems of aplenty in the midfield with Fernandinho tipped to bid farewell on what has been a stellar career at the Etihad. The injury-prone duo of Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan can’t be trusted to feature all-season and Valverde’s addition would not only provide a backup but also a long-term solution for the potential midfield problems that may arise in the future.
The source concludes by reporting that Valverde’s “incredible fitness fits perfectly in the Premier League” and City could make a very tempting offer to “get him out of Madrid”. I am backing City to pull this one especially with the financial muscle they possess and the 23-year-old’s current situation at Real Madrid would play into the hands of the Cityzens.
So, do you Valverde would join forces with Manchester City in the summer?
Let us know.
