Dusan Vlahovic makes Manchester City transfer switch decision
Manchester City have struggled to replace former striker and club legend, Sergio Aguero. The Cityzens have found it hard to secure their next proper number nine. Dusan Vlahovic, Erling Haaland, and Harry Kane are on the radar of the Sky Blues.
With that said, the defending Premier League champions did launch an attempt to sign Romelu Lukaku from Inter, in the summer of 2020. Even more recently, City made as many as three massive bids for Tottenham’s Harry Kane this past summer but were found wanting when it came to meeting Spurs chairman Daniel Levy’s £150 million valuation of the English striker.
Erling Haaland and Dusan Vlahovic are currently two of the hottest prospects in Europe. Both the strikers can prove to be a long-term investment for any club that they decide to sign this winter or next summer.
Dusan Vlahovic and City links have intensified over the past few weeks with the Cityzens keeping a close eye on his development at Fiorentina. The 21-year-old recently equaled Cristiano Ronaldo’s 68-goal year tally, making him second on the list of most goals scored in a calendar year.
The Serbian forward has rejected extension offers from Fiorentina. The Italian outfit have also offered him a contract that would make him the highest-paid player in the club’s history but of no avail; Vlahovic is said to be keen on pastures new.
With only 18 months left in his current contract, Fiorentina are likely to sell him for next summer with Tottenham and Manchester United also said to be in the race to sign the 21-year-old.
As per the reliable Italian football transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, it has come to light that Vlahovic prefers a move to England, should he move out from Fiorentina before next term.
This is a significant boost for the clubs from England who are tipped to go for the prospect this winter or next summer.
Do you think Manchester City will be signing Vlahovic this winter?
