Manchester City have reportedly joined the race in the dying moments for Leicester City midfielder, Youri Tielemans who has already been linked to the likes of Elite European clubs like Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain, MEN understands.

Tielemans, 24, has wasted absolutely no time in setting the stage on fire in this edition of the Premier League netting the ball 5 times and assisting twice in 15 appearances for Leicester. His brace sunk Newcastle with a 5-1 victory for the hosts at the King Power stadium in this weekend of league fixtures.

The former Monaco man touched down in the Premier League for €45M in the 2019/20 season, on a loan plus purchase option. He has been a revelation for the foxes, influencing the midfield time and again with his elegance and attacking prowess coming into play.

The 24-year-old struck a sensational winner to clinch Leicester City their maiden FA Cup in a 1-0 victory over European champions Chelsea at the Wembley Stadium. The Belgian seems to be drawing the attention of European giants with Manchester City and Real Madrid to battle out for his prized signature in the upcoming transfer window, as per Fichages.

Guardiola’s men have been top-notch this season and are in the middle of an unbeaten streak of six matches in the Premier League. City though have been missing the likes of an out and out striker in their ranks, which was quite clearly evident when they dropped points against the likes of Tottenham and especially Crystal Palace at the Etihad.

Having said that, the Skyblues are in all readiness to sign a premium striker in the form of Serie-A breakout sensation Dusan Vlahovic or Borussia Dortmund’s goal machine Erling Haaland who is arguably the best finisher of his generation by a long way.

Cityzens though have concerns in the midfield with veteran Fernandinho tipped to retire at the end of this season. Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan haven’t been at their fluent best this season with injuries playing a crucial role in their absence. Rodri and Bernardo Silva have been quite consistent with their performances, with the latter scoring the highest number of goals for his club this season.

With the winter window in touching distance, The reigning champions are keen on reinforcing their midfield, will they be able to snatch Youri Tielemans from under the radar of Real Madrid?
