The Manchester City – Erling Haaland saga has risen to the next level with the Superstar’s agent, Mino Raiola’s latest statements on the Bundesliga sensation‘s potential transfer in the upcoming winter window.

Erling Haaland, 21, has been an absolute phenomenon ever since he made his with BVB Dortmund after moving from RB Salzburg in 2020.

The Norwegian’s numbers with Schwarz Gelben are staggering with 74 goals and 19 assists from his 72 appearances across all competitions for the former Bundesliga Champions. With his release clause of €75M to commence from the 2022 summer window, all the eyes are now fixated on the 21-year-old’s next potential destination.

Borussia Dortmund want to keep him but have lost a major part of their footing, after crashing out from the UEFA Champions League group stages.

According to reports, City Boss, Pep Guardiola when asked about Haaland’s potential arrival to the Etihad, Guardiola gave absolutely nothing away.

"“Next question. Don’t ask me about that (Mino Raiola’s comments on Erling Haaland’s future). I’m not going to answer.”"

Manchester City has been sensational this season even without the presence of an out-and-out striker in their ranks, climbing to the summit of the Premier League table with 38 points with the likes of European Champions Liverpool (37) and Chelsea (36) chasing the top spot.

The Norwegian striker’s transfer, if at all it goes ahead this winter is going to be one of the mega deals of World football; this is not because of the fee involved but the consequences it could have. It is expected to go all the way down the wire with Elite European Clubs like Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich all in contention.

A Madrid move seems to be unlikely for Haaland as he is said to be unwilling to share the limelight with Kylian Mbappe and Co. Barcelona is in the midst of a Financial crisis and the 21-year-old is looking like a distant dream for the Catalans as of now.

Even the Bavarians are not expected to spend such a hefty price on a single player with Bayern already being regarded as the Powerhouse of European Football.

Manchester City leads the pack with its financial services and the kit sponsorship coming to their aid. It is safe to say that Etihad is going to be the likely destination for the highly-rated Bundesliga Striker.
