Manchester City contacted by Atletico Madrid Wonderkid’s agent

Atletico Madrid’s phenomenon Joao Felix is planning a potential switch to the Premier League, with his agent contacting Manchester City regarding the move in the last few hours, The Mirror understands.
Felix, 22, doesn’t seem to be in Diego Simeone’s plans after failing to live up to the expectations of €126M price tag, and has consequently fallen down the pecking order at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The Portuguese is having a terrible start to this campaign by his standards with a single goal in the 12 appearances (8 La-Liga + 4 UCL) he made thus far for the reigning La-Liga Champions.
Felix though is having options ahead of him, especially with the lack of minutes under his belt at the Wanda Metropolitano. His agent Jorge Mendes has reportedly been in contact for days with Manchester City as he is trying to push for a Premier League move.
Man City boss, Guardiola seems to be an admirer of the Portuguese’ style of play, who is known for his creativity, agility, speed, acrobatic abilities and finishing.
Reports are emerging that Pep Guardiola may “give it a try“ to sign the Portugese forward in the upcoming transfer window, with contacts establishing between both the parties at a good rate. This comes as per Calcio Mercato.
Felix can be assured of the guaranteed game time he is going to get at the Etihad, if at all he makes the cut and dons Man City blues amidst several rumours hovering around the Cityzens and the spectacular signing of Erling Haaland.
With Manchester City plotting an all-out move for the Norwegian goal machine next summer when his release clause of €75M commences, a deal with the Atletico Madrid starlet is looking unlikely at this point of time especially with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, New Castle and Arsenal also being linked with Felix
So, will Manchester City eventually bid for Joao Felix or is an Erling Haaland arrival at the Etihad on the cards especially with City having the edge?
Let us know.
