It is not that Torres is unhappy at the Etihad it is just that the idea of being the focal point of the Barca line is something that makes him want to join the former La Liga champions, as early as the upcoming winter window.

The lack of a proper finisher and Memphis Depay’s inconsistency has been hurting the Blaugrana and Torres’ raw finishing ability is something that the struggling La Liga side want to capitalise on.

Reliable journalist Fernando Polo has revealed that the talks between Barcelona and Manchester City for the winger are expected to reach the finish line with an agreement lurking in the background.

It is understood that City want €60-65 million for Torres and Barcelona are not far off from reaching the price tag set by the Cityzens for the winger. The Catalan giants are said to be offering around €45 million, to acquire the services of the Spaniard.

There are said to be good feelings around the rumoured deal and the good relations between the two clubs should ensure that Torres makes a switch back to Spain as early as this winter. Especially with Barcelona’s current offer, it is realistic to assume that an agreement will be reached between the two clubs over the sale of the 21-year-old.
