Manchester City maintained their impressive run in the Premier League on Saturday as they thumped Watford 3-1 at Vicarage road. Bernardo Silva was the star of the show against the Hornets as he scored a stunning brace to ensure that his team pick up all three points in this latest encounter away from home.

Manchester City shifted gears in no time; Sterling starts the fire

Guardiola’s men were out to pick up a win and had looked dominant from the first whistle of the game. Raheem Sterling took just four minutes to breach the Watford defence after being provided with a neat cross in the box by Phil Foden, which was later slotted back home to make it 1-0 in favour of the visitors.

City were keen to add more goals to their tally as they made some good attacking runs in their final third. Just after the half-hour mark, Bernardo Silva added his first goal of the night as he struck a clean shot into the right corner of the net to give his side a two-goal lead.

City were rewarded with a goal in the 63rd minute with Silva being setup by a beautiful pass by Kyle Walker, which was struck firmly by the Portuguese midfielder into the left corner of the net.

For the hosts, their only consolation came in the final quarter of the match as striker Cucho Hernandez pulled one back for his team. However, the goal did not make much of a difference for the Hornets, with City grabbing all three points comfortably after the full-time whistle whistle.
