In the last 24 hours, Barcelona have managed to launch an aggressive attempt to sign Manchester City star, Ferran Torres.

Gerard Romero understands that Manchester City, aware of Barcelona’s interest in Ferran Torres have named their asking fee for the 21-year-old at €50 million.

With the current financial state of the Catalan giants, it does seem like the cules will find it difficult to sign the winger. Having said that, numerous sources have revealed that Barcelona has been saving up for such an operation and had their eyes fixed on Ferran Torres for quite some time.

It is highly unlikely that this would be a one-time payment if an agreement is reached between the clubs. Some sources have reported that Barcelona are willing to pay €70 million but across 5 years. It remains to be seen if City are looking for immediate gains as Valencia will also receive 10% from the sale of Torres.
