Manchester City have been at the helm of rumours this season with them being tipped heavily to many fearsome Strikers across the world.

Raheem Sterling has been the centre stage of the transfer rumors hovering around the Cityzens. With his future at the Etihad uncertain, the Englishman has been open to choosing his options in the form of his former club Liverpool and Spanish Tyrant, FC Barcelona rather than fighting for his cause in the Sky Blues setup.

According to El-Nacional, Manchester City will accept Barcelona’s efforts for Raheem Sterling only on one condition.

Sterling can come if, and only if, Pedri goes the other way.

This statement has been a matter of fact of the unfeasible swap deal for Barca’s 24-year-old winger, Ousmane Dembele who was unavailable with his injury at the Euros.

Pedri on the flip side has been the find of the year for the Catalans and has been crowned the ‘golden boy’. Pedri is the first player from Barcelona after Lionel Messi to win the prestigious award, after 16 years.

Pep Guardiola has been in love with the style of the midfielder ever since he made his debut in the 2020 season.

Having said that, investing in an 18-year-old who is already being compared to the likes of Spanish Legend Andres Iniesta will be a masterstroke if the Cityzens manage to snatch him.

The deal though at this point of time is looking unlikely with the release clause for Pedri set at a whooping €1M. However, Barcelona has some tough decisions to make regarding its financial crisis which may take this all down the wire.

But Manchester City won’t find it any easy with Bayern Munich breathing down their necks for the elegant midfielder.

So, will Pedri opt for a Bundesliga/ Premier League switch (highly unlikely) or stay at his favorite club and bring back glory to the Camp Nou under Xavi Hernandez?
