Manchester City had Harry Kane in their sights and just when everything looked set, Tottenham Hotspur were in no way willing to comply with City’s demands and thus, succeeding in their desire to keep the Englishman for the ongoing season.

Kylian Mbappe has made it clear that Real Madrid is his next destination and the Frenchman was even close to completing his ‘dream move’. Madrid launched a series of big moves in the final weeks of the summer window but the Parisians weren’t willing to sell the 22-year-old while deeming Madrid’s attempt to land Mbappe so late in the summer window, ‘unethical’.

With Madrid failing to sign the Frenchman, it is believed that a number of doors have been opened for Mbappe for the next term. Mbappe will become a free agent next summer thus, making Manchester City a possible destination for him.

In recent times, Manchester City have been linked with a move for Mbappe as well. Having said that, Football Italia understands that Kylian could consider moving to Manchester City only if Real Madrid fail to meet his wage demands.

While Mbappe to Madrid is just a matter of time, it is highly absurd to think that Madrid, who were willing to pay €220 million for him last summer, won’t be able to meet his wage demands.

Some could even argue that Mbappe could perhaps, use his negotiations with City to increase the value of his deal with the former La Liga champions.

Madrid to City seems unlikely, given that Manchester City are more inclined towards signing Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund next summer.

Haaland’s release clause worth €75 million is likely to get triggered next summer and the reigning Premier League champions are tipped to be the favorites to sign the Norwegian talent.

Do you think that Manchester City will launch an unlikely move for Kylian Mbappe next summer or will they let Madrid have all the spoils?
