Manchester City have been a hot topic in the rumor mill thus far and have been linked with multiple players for both, arrival and departures from the club. The limelight though has certainly been on Raheem Sterling’s future at the Sky blues, with him being tipped heavily to join forces with the Spanish Giant FC Barcelona since last summer window.

In the pre-match press conference ahead of the home game against Everton, City boss Pep Guardiola finally addressed the Raheem Sterling-Barca links.

"The former Barcelona manager said:“Don’t ask me from now on until the transfer window is open. Mine and Raheem’s focus is on the games, I’m not going to answer because I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future.”Source : Fabrizio Romano(via twitter)."

The 28-year-old has been blowing hot and cold this season for the Cityzens after having a spectacular run at the Euros, where he almost stood at the edge of Glory for England only to be denied by the eventual Champions Italy 3-4 in penalties on the final night at the Wembley.

The Englishman has been nothing short of poor as far his form is being concerned, netting the ball only twice in the 13 ( 9 Premier League + 4 UCL ) appearances for the defending champions.

The likes of Gabriel Jesus and Riyad Mahrez have been consistently featuring on the right flank while Foden and Grealish have been sharing the left one. In short, Raheem Sterling has got a massive ladder to climb, if he has to regain his place in the City XI.

Barcelona are keen on landing the winger and Sterling has his options ahead of him with the lack of game time he is getting at the Etihad. The deal looks like a feasible one with both parties benefiting from it. Barcelona boss Xavi’s game plan is said to revolve around pure wingers who stay wide, thus bringing the topic of Sterling into the picture.

So, Will Raheem stay and fight for his spot at the Etihad, or is a La Liga switch on the cards for the Englishman?
