Manchester City keep tabs on Fiorentina Star for EPL switch

Manchester City’s aspirations of sealing the Haaland deal receive a huge as the striker has clear intentions of continuing with the former Bundesliga champions, though a move for him cannot be ruled out at this stage.

The Skyblues though have kept options in their pursuit of a striker and are edging towards a promising young talent from the Italian league, Serie-A. The player in question is Fiorentina’s forward Dusan Vlahovic.

The 21-year-old is enjoying his purple patch for Fiorentina, scoring 25 goals across all competitions in the 2021 season, with only Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund edging ahead with a tally of 26 goals.

MEN understands that the Serbian is having a contract with Fiorentina until 2023 and has no plans to extend his stay. This certainly has opened the door for several clubs to pen him down, with the likes of Manchester City, FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus, among which Manchester City and Juventus have shown utmost interest.
