Raheem Sterling’s future at Manchester City has become uncertain in recent months.

The England international, 26, has less than two years on his current deal and is yet to show willingness over committing his future at Manchester City. He has lost his way somewhat under Pep Guardiola over the last six months and despite returning from Euro 2020 as arguably England’s most in-form player, he has not been able to establish himself as a guaranteed starter for the Cityzens.

Raheem Sterling, who is linked with a January move away to Barcelona, has seen his game time being limited further following the summer arrival of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa. As things stand, the English ace’s future at the Etihad Stadium is far from sorted and there are chances of him leaving the club in the upcoming transfer window for regular game time.

That being said, as per a recent report from TEAMtalk, Manchester City are among a host of Premier League clubs interested in signing Shakhtar Donetsk star Manor Solomon.

Manor Solomon, 22, arrived at Shakhtar Donetsk from Israeli outfit Maccabi Petah Tikva in 2019. In fact, Pep Guardiola was interested in signing the player then but the Maccabi Petah Tikva board upped their asking price when learning of Man City’s interest, claims TEAMtalk.

The Israel international is rated among the best players in the Ukrainian league and shot to prominence last season when he netted home and away against Real Madrid in the Champions League. The nippy winger was in excellent form last term, scoring 11 goals in 35 outings in all formats and catching the eye with his pace, movement and dribbling skills.

Capable of playing on either flank, Solomon’s performances for Shakhtar has piqued the interest of a host of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Everton, Southampton and Brighton all vying for his signature, the report adds.

Coming back to Manchester City, the future of Sterling is currently uncertain amidst interest from Barcelona, and consequently, Solomon could represent an adequate replacement should the England international leave the club next year.

With the Israel winger having just over two years left on his current deal, the January transfer window perhaps would be the right time for Shakhtar to cash in on him, with several Premier League clubs keen, including Man City.
