Manchester City to face off with European rivals to claim this Brazilian Winger

Manchester City enroll in the pursuit of highly-rated Ajax winger Antony alongside the likes of German heavyweights Bayern Munich.

MEN understands that City are the latest team to register interest in the Brazilian National who has been in the spectacular form of late with a string of consistent performances for the Eredivisible Club.

The 21-year-old who predominantly plays on the right flank for his Club and Country is one of the most exciting talents going around at the moment. His arrival to Ajax is turning out to be a master-stroke, as he continues to accomplish himself as another South-American prodigy.

Antony, who was in Brazilian Club Sao Paulo colors until 2019, joined Ajax ranks in February 2020. He has been enjoying his time in the Netherlands with an outstanding start at the Eredivisie, scoring a handful of goals.

The 2021-22 season has been nothing short of fantastic for the Brazilian, with an impressive goal tally of nine and racked up eight assists along with it. His stunning performance transpired Ajax to a Crushing 4-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League fixture earlier this week at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Manchester City has commenced their UCL campaign in style with two victories in three matches, settling comfortably behind Arch-rivals Paris Saint-Germain in Group A. With two of the three reverse fixtures set to be played at the Etihad, expect the Skyblues to fire all cylinders and top the Group.

Cityzens returned to the Premier League in Match-week nine on an away trip to Amex stadium against fourth-placed Brighton. The Visitors were head and shoulders above the Hosts as they destroyed them with a 4-1 victory to leap up to the second position on the points table with a mere two-point deficit from table-toppers Chelsea.

Antony’s arrival to the Etihad will seize a substantial fee from Pep Guardiola’s team, with him contracted to Ajax until 2025. Is he worth the price?
