Manchester City to the fore as Haaland announces his wage wishes

Erling Braut Haaland has been stealing the show ever since his Dortmund debut, grabbing the eyeballs of all the European Giants, with Manchester City, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich being the front runners.
With his release clause set to commence next summer, his subsequent assignment is what the world lives to notice.
ESPN understands that Haaland will demand a wage pocket of at least £30m annually, or around £576000-per-week. With old schools rivalry between City’s boss Pep Guardiola and Mino Raiola, the transaction seems to go nowhere until the player’s wishes are met by the defending Premier League Champions.
Manchester City have been constantly linked with the transfer rumors of Erling Haaland, ever since they failed to acquire Tottenham skipper Harry Kane. A record £150 M bid couldn’t end the saga with Spurs getting the better of Kane as he affirmed that he was happy to be leading the spurs.
City have been breaking all the headlines for the absence of a proper number nine, ever since the departure of Sergio Kun Aguero. Though their campaign has always been on target with consistent performances from Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Ferran Torres and Gabriel Jesus, the gaping hole in their team structure has been exposed several times this season.
The 21-year-old has been in a rich vein of form off late with 10 goal contributions in just 6 outings for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. The precision and power with which he blasts the ball past goalkeepers has certainly never been anything short of breathtaking.
Though City have been keeping tabs on several strikers all over the world, the likes of Mikel Oyarzabal of Real Sociedad, Dani Olmo of RB Leipzig, Lautaro Martinez are the ones that stand out.
With the stakes being high for Haaland, will Manchester City be able to fetch him? Or Will the Harry Kane saga repeat itself all over again?
