Manchester City have been linked with Erling Haaland and have been tipped to go all-out for him. The Cityzens are rumored to be planning a big-money bid for Haaland this winter to get ahead of the race.

Haaland’s release clause worth €77 million only becomes active next summer and though it suggests that the entire operation will be easy, it’s not going to be that way.

Taking into the agent fee and the player bonuses, the entire sum of the operation could well stretch up to €120 million. It is also understood that super-agent Mino Raiola is said to be demanding sone serious wages for his client.

City need to raise the funds if they are to fund the Haaland transfer and it is a no-brainer.
The likes of Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva have been tipped to leave the club. Silva has been enjoying a good run of form lately and has turned out to be one of the more trusted men of Pep Guardiola this season. The same, however, cannot be said for Raheem Sterling.

The Englishman fell out of favor last summer and has been pushed down the pecking order with the likes of Phil Foden and Jack Grealish gaining immense preference over him. Sterling’s inconsistency this season hasn’t helped his cause either and so Sport reports that the former Liverpool man might finally be on his way to FC Barcelona this January.

The 26-year-old was linked with a move to Barcelona this past summer as well but the precarious financial condition of the former La Liga champions stopped them in their tracks and a deal could not be finalized. Having said that, the situation is much better at Barca now, money-wise.

The Catalan giants are said to be looking to bring on Sterling on a loan deal but are open to the idea of including a mandatory purchase option at the end of the season. It is not clear whether City would be interested in parting ways with one of their most influential and important players in recent years.

Sterling’s poor returns this season are worth a solitary goal and 2 assists from 12 outings could play a key role in the decision that Manchester City would potentially take regarding his future.

Numerous sources have mentioned that the Sky Blues have slapped a €90 million price tag on the 26-year-old and it will be interesting to see if Barcelona would be willing to match that high a sum, given that they are also said to be in the race to sign Erling Haaland.
