Manchester City Academy is having a dream run with its talents grabbing eyeballs all around the world. Phil Foden in the first place impressed one and all with his breathtaking abilities and now it seems to be Cole Palmer’s turn.

Pep Guardiola has certainly got the best out of Phil Foden after managing his workload in the best possible manner in his initial years at the Etihad. He is set to apply similar strategic moves for the rise of Cole Palmer which could turn out to be a decisive one.

The 19-year-old made his debut at the Carabao Cup last year against Burnley, after a consistent run of brilliant displays with the second team. Many rumors evoked for a potential loan of Palmer in the previous winter window but were all put to rest with Guardiola seeing a great future ahead for the local lad.

"In a recent interview, Pep spoke“Cole has a special quality in front of the box that is difficult to find.Whem he has the ball there, most of them finish in the net.It is not easy to find it but I know how it works with young players in all countries.”“Be calm, be patient like we have done with Phil. His position is the second team – but at the same time he is training with us, taking the rhythm and the principles and of course he’s a player for the future for the club.I’m happy for the goal, he could have done a few actions a little bit better but it’s experience.”“Cole has a special quality in front of the box that is difficult to find.Whem he has the ball there, most of them finish in the net.It is not easy to find it but I know how it works with young players in all countries.”“Be calm, be patient like we have done with Phil. His position is the second team – but at the same time he is training with us, taking the rhythm and the principles and of course he’s a player for the future for the club.I’m happy for the goal, he could have done a few actions a little bit better but it’s experience.”"

The Wythenshawe native was all over the headlines off late, when he scored a stunning hat-trick for the Under-23s. His stocks have begun to rise heavily ever since his name was on the scoresheet against Wycombe Wonderers in the Carabao Cup.

He even registered his maiden UCL goal against Club brugge after comprehensively netting a pass from Raheem Sterling.

With Guardiola not keen on rushing Cole into the first team in near future, will it be worth the wait? If Foden’s rise is anything to go by, except another future star in the making for Manchester City.
