Manchester City’s Phil Foden is grabbing eyeballs ever since his debut season. But a sudden rise in his stocks is evident of what the world believes in him after a Commanding display in the 2020 EUROs.

The English National who dominates the midfield for his country has been growing from strength to strength in recent times. He even cracked the Southgate code with what he offers to his side.

In his last outing against Andorra in the 2022 Qatar WorldCup Qualifiers at the Estadi Nacional turned the whole football world’s sight towards him. In a match where England thoroughly dominated the proceedings, Foden was running riot for fun.

His performance reminded everyone of his Manchester City’s Maestro Kevin De Bruyne who himself is regarded as “The Complete Player” for his vision, dribbles and the precision with which he passes and scores from near importance positions.

The 21-year-old who plays for Manchester City is being trustworthy of his manager to give him more minutes despite having to compete against the likes of Ferran Torres, Riyad Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus and  Raheem Sterling.

Even Pep Guardiola admitted in a recent interview that Foden is going to demand him more time and there’s no harm in that as Phil is showing great composure under his supervision. His Goal against Liverpool at Anfield was an exhibition of his skill set.

With a drastic rise in the pecking order for both Foden and Torres, Sterling and Mahrez have a steep climb ahead of them, if they are to get any more minutes in Manchester City’s colours.

With a potential Haaland signing on the sidelines and their players hitting prime, Cityzens would be hoping for a Premier League double and even a maiden UCL triumph, in the hind-sight.
With the injury storm always hovering around, will Manchester City be able to do that?
