Man City’s Wizard Kevin de Bruyne stole the lime light in their UEFA Nations league Semi-final clash with World Champions France. KDB however, could not guide his side to victory as the ‘golden generation of Belgian football’ failed to secure yet another piece of silverware.

Belgium will be gutted after they were knocked out of the tournament since they were unable to sustain a 2-0 lead. France came from behind to seal a sensational 3-2 victory. The second half was totally dominated by the former World Champions and Belgium had no answers to the questions posed by France.

France came out all guns blazing after the break as Karim Benzema lead by example with a stunner around the one hour mark.Kylian Mbappe equalized with a spot kick soon after as the match headed towards a nail biting finish. But Theo Hernandez came to the rescue with a late goal in the dying moments of the match penalising the Number one ranked team in the world for their passive gameplay in the second half.

With Manchester City’s ever growing injury list looking extensive with the latest victim being Ferran Torres, they would like to run high on an in-form KDB to lead their charge as he was missing in the major portion of the First month of Premier League due to an ankle injury which he suffered in the UEFA Euro 2020 while playing against Christiano Ronaldo’s Portuguese side in the round of 16.

The 30-year-old was unable to start on a regular basis as Pep Guardiola took no chance of risking his most trusted player in the initial stages of the tournament. But the Belgian Star couldn’t be kept quiet for long as he stormed back with his elegant and charming style of play for which he is known for.

He scored his first goal of the season for Manchester City against Wycombe Wanderers in third round of the EFL cup.But he stamped his authority at Anfield after scoring a crucial equalizer in the 81st minute against arch-rivals Liverpool which helped the Cityzens secure some points which could prove to be pivotal in their quest of consecutive Titles.

With Injury concerns looming large and Manchester city running against time, Pep would not mind an in-form De Bruyne to take charge of the star-studded lineup and lead them to glory for the umpteenth time.
