After a busy international break, Manchester City’s senior men’s team is back in action.

The Sky Blues will play six matches across three competitions throughout the month of September. This will be none other than the English Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and EFL “Carabao” Cup.

Manchester City will start the month by visiting Leicester City in an EPL match. The match will take place on 11 September. The Sky Blues defeated the Foxes last season at the King Power Stadium 2-0.

City then host RB Leipzig on Matchday 1 in the Champions League’s Group A. The match will take place on 15 September. This is the first meeting between the Englishmen and the Germans.

Following their Champions League fixture, the Sky Blues will return to EPL action. Manchester City will host Southampton on 18 September. The Sky Blues defeated the Saints 5-2 in last season’s encounter.

The Mancunians will then enter the third round of the Carabao Cup, where they will face Wycombe Wanderers. The cup match will be held on 21 September. Wycombe and Manchester City previously faced each other in a League Division 2 game back in 1999. Wycombe won this match 2-1. A lot has changed at both clubs since that last encounter.

Manchester City will then end the month of September with two challenging encounters. First, the Sky Blues will travel to London to face current Champions League winners Chelsea. While Manchester City defeated Chelsea 1-3 in this fixture last season, much changed following that dominant City performance. Chelsea would defeat Manchester City on three occasions over the span of two months in the FA Cup Semi-final, an EPL game, and the Champions League final.

Finally, the Sky Blues will travel to Paris for Matchday 2 in the Champions League. They will face Group A opponents Paris Saint-Germain. To date, Manchester City are undefeated against the Frenchmen, where they have won three of their previous encounters and drew the last fixture.
