Manchester City recently announced that Sergio Aguero will be moving on later in the summer, after more than a decade with the Sky Blues.

Since joining up with the Cityzens in 2011, the Argentinian forward has amassed a tally of 257 goals in 384 appearances for the club, a truly staggering figure. While it won’t be easy to replace his legacy, City will honour their all time-highest goal-scorer by erecting his statue outside their stadium.

While Aguero may be edging towards the end of his career, he still has a lot to offer, and many top European sides have been rumoured to be pushing for his signature. Here, we will try and rank the most likely destination for Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero.

1) Barcelona

First and foremost, the eternal romance, should Barcelona be able to pull this off, not only would they get their hands on a world-class forward, but they will also boost their chances of retaining Lionel Messi, who would be more than happy to lineup alongside his long-time friend and compatriot.

Recently elected president Joan Laporta has already stated that he’d go to any length to extend Lionel Messi’s contract, and this might just be the way to do it. Moreover, the fact that Aguero will be a free-agent would be another attractive proposition.
